Thank you for your interest in Newton Stewart Walking Festival. We are delighted to present our programme for 2022. Often described as Scotland's best kept secret, Galloway is a wonderfully unspoilt landscape with an endless variety of routes for walkers to enjoy. Walkfest offers around 30 routes over 7 days, with transport and guides included, as well as a programme of evening social events.
Update 6th May 2022
We have now closed off online booking for this year's festival, but our phone line is available on 07421 312 056 (sorry for the problems with the phone line this year until now - but we are delighted it is now working)
New bookings, or changes to existing bookings, can now be made in person at the WalkFest registration desk or via the enquiry line on 07421 312 056. On Saturday 7th May reception will be in the Belted Galloway Visit Centre and on all other days it will be in McMillan Hall (Dashwood square). Registration is typically open from around 7am to around 12 noon, although exact times vary by day. For evening talks only, you can just turn up and pay on the night.
A one page summary of our programme for 2022 is available here.
A map showing the location of each of our routes is available here.
Our evening events programme (details available here) are now also bookable online.
Please note that we are not producing a paper brochure this year.
