** SORRY - THIS WALK IS NOW FULLY BOOKED ** This challenging walk will provide spectacular scenery and views over the Galloway countryside and will show the true meaning of walking in the Galloway tussocks.
The walk will leave Bruce's stone slowly ascending by Culsharg bothy and over to the “Grey man”. Walking around the north of Loch Enoch we will summit onto Mullwharchar and then tackle the Dungeon Range, starting with the Nick of the Dungeon and onto the Devil’s Bowling Green. This wide granite plateau is scattered with old Nick’s “bowls”.
The next leg then takes in Craignaw, Snibe Hill and finally Craiglee being the last summit of the day. The route will take in aircraft accident sites before descending back onto the Southern Upland Way path back to Bruce's Stone where the bus will be a welcome sight.
This year’s Challenge Walk is only for experienced walkers with very good fitness levels.
