This pleasant walk explores some of the many paths through Kirroughtree Forest, including parts of the Papa Ha path, the Bruntis Lochs and the Lade Path.
Starting off the Queens Way, a forest road down to Palnure burn is followed. Sections of mature deciduous woodland contrast with the coniferous forest and the occasional field, with grazing sheep or cattle.
We then head into Kirroughtree Forest, exploring the many paths, passing Bruntis Lochs and finished at Kirroughtree Visitor Centre, where there will be an opportunity for refreshments.
Norw this route has much in common with route 7-3 Rocks and Mines, so we would recommend you don't book both this walk and walk 7-3.
